Smokey Brick Oven Ribs

Charleston Black Hookup

Try these Smokey Brick Oven Ribs for the perfect mix of smokiness and tenderness. The dry rub and basting sauce give the crust a lot of flavor, and the slow smoking in the Nice Brick Oven makes sure the meat is juicy and falls off the bone.

Ingredients:

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • Wood chips for smoking

Instructions:

Preheat Nice Brick Oven to 250F 120C

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs

In a bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub

Rub the mixture generously over both sides of the ribs

Place ribs on the preheated Nice Brick Oven grate and smoke for 3 hours, adding wood chips for extra flavor

Mix BBQ sauce with apple cider vinegar to create a basting sauce

Brush the ribs with the basting sauce and continue smoking for an additional 30 minutes, basting every 10 minutes

Remove ribs from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing

Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy
