Ingredients:
- 1 box of chocolate cupcake mix
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup of chocolate ganache
- 1 cup of red raspberry jam
- 1 cup of chocolate frosting
- Red food coloring gel
- Black food coloring gel
- White fondant
- Black fondant
- Edible blood gel
- Cupcake liners
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cupcake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and water
Mix until smooth
Fill each cupcake liner 2/3 full with the cupcake batter
Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a cupcake comes out clean
Allow them to cool completely
While the cupcakes are cooling, create the ax decorations
Roll out black fondant and cut out ax shapes using a knife or ax-shaped cookie cutter
Allow them to dry and harden
Once the cupcakes are cool, use a cupcake corer or a knife to create a hole in the center of each cupcake
Fill the holes with red raspberry jam to create a bloody center
Frost the cupcakes with chocolate frosting, creating a smooth surface
Mix a few drops of red food coloring gel with the chocolate ganache to create a blood glaze
Drizzle the blood glaze over the frosted cupcakes for a gruesome effect
Place the black fondant ax decorations on top of the cupcakes, pressing them gently into the frosting
Roll out white fondant and cut out X shapes to create crime scene tape
Place them around the cupcakes
Finally, add some edible blood gel splatters for an extra creepy touch
